All the big boys are doing it (Yahoo, AOL etc.) so I thought I'd have a bash at a newer, cleaner look for our Website. I have rehashed most of it and essential information now sits on the front page - this should make it easier for the casual visitor to see what's going on. The site has now also gone full circle with each team having it's own link and sub-site - this will result in some significant speed improvements, especially for those sections that have a lot of information to show.

Some slight changes have been made to the site in an attempt to speed up the loading of the pages. The sections have been separated and a new main selection page added for improved navigation. Net result - individual websites per section and vastly improved loading speeds.

As you can see - there has been a change in the design of the website - most of the content is unchanged, however the structure and page design has been altered to improve the look and functionality of the site - if there are any questions pertaining to these changes then please do not hesitate to contact us

The 2006/2007 season fixtures have been added for the junior section and can be found in the usual places.

The 2006/2007 season fixtures have been added for the mini section and can be found in the usual places. Some tinkering of the menus has been done as follows : Under 12's now sits in the mini section menu with it's brethren Under 8's through to under 11's. The youth section has grown with the inclusion of a red and black team and a new section for girls rugby has been created in anticipation of 2 new teams being formed at Llanishen RFC.

To prepare for next season all teams from Under 8 through to Under 16 have been rolled forward one year. Essentially the Under 8's become the Under 9's, the Under 9' become the Under 10's etc. All of the information (teams, last season's results, news etc) has also been carried over. The changes as they effect the site are quite superficial, but if you wish to review last seasons results then in the fixture pages just click the title 'Last Season'. For the coaches/administrators your username and passwords are unchanged, but obviously your section login will reflect the changes indicated above. There will inevitably be teething trouble, so please contact the Webmaster to discuss and resolve. The under 16's, as they were, are NOT gone - just floating in limbo until I can sort out the data transfer from junior to youth section. Thnx

Web site now complete! - That's it folks - the last part of this website has been added and the club facilities page is now active. It is hoped to have some revisions to the look and feel of the site by the start of next season. If you feel you wish to make suggestions on what you would like to see on the site in the future then please do not hesitate to e-mail us.

At last the events gallery is now on line. For those of you with permissions, you can upload photographs of important events using the upload facility in the administration page. You can also add notes, which is done using the add/amend/edit news item function - in this instance select "events gallery" under news type and your information will be posted to the correct page - enjoy, I'm sure I will when I see some of the piccies going up.

For those of you who have user names and passwords - you can now change these to ones of your own choice - remember that if you forget your username or password I will have to erase you from existance and recreate you from scratch!!!!

For those of you who do not like navigating menus - a site map has been added to the About menu - this single page provides a complete overview of all relevant links on the site.

At last - the player profile section has been completed and added - for those of you have have access it is here that you can add player and their stats (number tries etc) and when active, the player will be shown in the player profile section. Photographic or graphical likenesses of children aged 16 years or younger will NOT be allowed, however avatars are permissible (check out the under 10's site for examples) - please submit your pictures by email to me with the file name matching the player name. Finally, in the profiles you can add the contacts that are shown on the section home page - please make sure the position selected is "Coach, Contact or Official" - any problems give me a shout - thnx Webmaster

Just a quick note to remind coaches that the fixture (scores) are presented as for and against - I have updated the code to show this - otherwise when it comes to the stats the maths will be wrong - thnx Webmaster

A few more changes have been made to the section pages - the Home page is now live with links to relevant areas and contact names/addresses and telephone numbers if they exist. The news section will hopefully be updated by 10 Feb - but don't hold your breath :-) Webmaster

Okey kokey then - I have now created a facility for the addition, amendment and/or deletion of fixtures and/or match reports, by section. This area requires username and password authentication (that is you need to logon) before you can begin to edit your fixtures. If you want to use this facility I will provide you with a username and password - Webmaster

Sponsorship page updated and made some improvements to the general look of the site when viewing the match centres - the knock on effect is the main page now has a lot more space for either advertising and/or news feeds - I will review and ammend accordingly.

Each section now has it's own "mini" website, all pretty empty at the moment and I am working on updating the scripts to allow coaches to enter their own data.
